I'm in a single thespian globe on Artistic making a map. I've disabled all aggressive mobs, simply I cannot discover an option or gamerule anywhere which disables all passive mobs. Does this exist in Minecraft and/or practice you lot have a method to keep passive mobs from spawning?
Thanks in advance!

Practice you lot have globe baby-sit? If y'all practise, you can use the flag deny-spawn <mob>
So for multiple mobs it would be //region flag <region> deny-spawn cow, chicken
Oh, I didn't read the beginning. I don't know about unmarried player worlds, sorry.

The description for the gamerule doMobSpawning says it disables all mob spawning, so I'm pretty sure that includes passives. If that doesn't work, passive mobs only spawn on grass blocks and so you can either manually make the surrounding area something other than grass or use world edit.

/gamerule doMobSpawning faux will disable all mob spawning, after globe generation, for both passive and hostile mobs. Yet, animals volition still generate in along with terrain equally new chunks are created in the globe. I do non call up there is a way to prevent this in vanilla Minecraft.

You call up magic isn't real? Consider this: for every person, there is a judgement -- a series of words -- which has the power to destroy them.

With that gamerule and converting all the clay to stone, I tin forbid spawning of everything except slimes. They seem to be the only thing left that I tin can't control, maybe? Whatsoever other way to become rid of them?

It shouldn't still be spawning slimes if you've updated it to false

It says the game rule was updated, and when I do "/gamerule doMobSpawning" information technology shows the value as false. I'grand on the latest version, 1.11.ii.

Allow's walk through what I'1000 doing and mayhap the issue is in the globe setup that I'm missing.
I created a new world with this setup:
- Game Mode: Artistic
- Earth Options:
--- Generate Structures: Off
--- World Type: Superflat
--- Allow Cheats: On
--- Bonus Breast: Off
Created the earth. I then went into Options and turned the Difficulty to Peaceful. When I came dorsum out, animals spawned where I was. I then did this command: "/gamerule doMobSpawning false". Game said the dominion was updated, and I checked and it said fake. I so killed everything in the world using the command "/kill @e".
Well ... carp, information technology seems to be working fine at present. Let the game run for 10 minutes and nothing has spawned. I'thousand guessing the previous world I tried this on was corrupted in some fashion, just it appears to be working correctly now. Sorry for the simulated warning and confusion, but thanks for the time and help you all put in on this! Appreciate it!
